Django Reinhardt + Katie Morgan + Joey Altruda =Fang Bang Stomp!

Photobucket

Last season I was hired by HBO to compose the theme song for “Katie Morgan’s Sex Tips: Questions Anyone?” (an offshoot miniseries from Pornucopia).
They were looking for something in the tradition of Django Reinhardt’s gypsy swing music of the 1930’s. Needless to say, I immediately thought of a melody that had played through my head several months before when I was bicycling down Fang Bang Road (the old section of Shanghai). The outcome: Fang Bang Stomp, which has just recently been released digitally through about 80 different online stores including iTunes, eMusic, Napster, Rhapsody, LimeWire, Amazon etc. This track also features the saxophone styling of Allen Mezquida, creator of Smigly.

I Write The Songs That Make The Porn World Swing

Katie Morgan's Sex Tips: Questions, Anyone? Adult-film star Katie Morgan hosts a new half-hour special, in which she fields a series of probing questions from cyberspace fans and eager young cue-card guys, offering candid, straight-shooting advice on how viewers can maximize their pleasure while in bed with their partner(s). Premieres Thursday, December 11 at 11 p.m. on HBO.
I was recently hired to compose and produce the show's opening credit theme song. Written in the style of gypsy guitar legend Django Rheinhardt, “Fang Bang Stomp” is a rollicking, racy little number that’ll swing you into an early grave. It also features the alto saxophone of Allen Mezquida (i.e. Allen Mez) of SMIGLY fame. LOOK FOR JOEY ALTRUDA “FANG BANG STOMP” ON ITUNES!

Morgan is blonde, cute and gregarious, modestly admitting that she's got a genius IQ of 165. She's also a serious player in the adult-entertainment world, where she's made over 200 films, and most recently made her mainstream film debut in Zack and Miri Make a Porno, starring Seth Rogan and Elizabeth Banks.
