Hellzapoppin' was first a live show, created by Olsen & Johnson in the late 1930's, and became such a hit sensation that a film version was made. Although certain aspects of the plot are a bit corny, there are some great gags and the opening sequence is worth the price of admission itself. The above video features Slim Gaillard & Slam Stewart (piano & bass), Rex Stewart on trumpet, Leo Watson on drums, and an incredible lindy hop dance routine by the Harlem Congoroos.
