Monty Hale R.I.P.

Monte Hale, one of the last of Hollywood's celluloid "singing cowboys" and a founder of what is now the Autry National Center of the American West, has died. He was 89.

Years ago, I once met Monte Hale at a charity event in Phoenix, AZ. He handed me a bumper sticker that read, "Shoot low, they might be crawlin'" Hardy Good PHX.AZ.USA
