The Greek Amphora Coffee Cup-New York Icon

I’m not the first to blog about this, but I just had to put it out there anyhow. The Greek “Anthora” (misspelling of Amphora) takeout cup has become iconic to the New York terrain since it was first designed in 1961. That was long before Starbucks, when there was only one size, and three options-black, light, or light with sugar. Throughout the years there have been different variations of the design and size and in recent times someone has manufactured ceramic versions of these as well as coin purses, tote bags, etc.
