I’m not quite sure what year Zenith introduced the Cobra-Matic record changer, most likely the early 50’s, but maybe as early as the late 40’s. It was a very modern design for its time, manufactured in many variations of cabinet, tabletop, and portable models. Even the Wurlitzer model 1100 jukebox featured a Cobra mechanism. The tone arm was the coolest feature however, shaped like a snake with two eyes at the head.
