Road House-Classic Film Noir
I just watched Road House again last night, after not seeing it for about ten years or so. This classic film noir is a bit of a potboiler, but has a great payoff at the end. Featuring a great ensemble cast of Richard Widmark, Ida Lupino (who also sings in the film), Celeste Holm, and Cornel Wilde, Road House has some great dialogue and differs from most noir films in that instead of a double crossing femme fatale character, the bad element in this story is a male (Widmark). The Fox DVD also contains a nice documentary worth checking out.

Man, I really thought this was going to be a blog about the other Roadhouse--with Patrick Swayze, Sam Elliot, and Jeff Healey.
